OPENING (AGAIN) IN MAY 2010
The Apostle's Creed
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic* and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
*NOTE: 30 SHEKELS takes issue with
the word "catholic" in this creed but is currently looking into its origin and its actual and intended definition and we will post it here soon. Stay tuned.
Re:launch
When worship was ended, Christians took home the consecrated bread so that those who couldnt attend worship could partake of the Lords Supper. In North Africa, Christians took home the bread so they could celebrate the sacrament every day with their families. Thus, Give us today our daily bread carried a deeper meaning.
30 Shekels. The value of a slave in the Book of Exodus. The price paid for the execution of Yeshua and as a result, the liberation of the hearts of all mankind. The relaunch of 30 Shekels has been in the works for a while now. I appreciate your patience as we streamlined the message of the site. If you are looking for Fallenbrooke music, or John Silver's design portfolio you can find links to both on the contact page. In the coming months, these pages will play host to a wealth of information regarding the journey of Yeshua, His people and His Church.

In May, you will also discover a place to leave your comments and information you may have uncovered about subjects ranging from the origin of the church and the journey of Yeshua and His Talmidim (or disciples) to church tradition and its Scriptural relevance today. The conclusions drawn on 30 Shekels will not sit well with most people. But they are an honest attempt to bring back the purity of the Gospel and the sanctity of church doctrine to a culture that is fast becoming enveloped in watered-down truth and is really missing the essence of what the Scriptures have to say about day-to-day life and the freedom available to all of us if we dare to dig deep enough through the layers of ashes and soot left by a church searching for relevance by burning a path to modernity.

In the first century, the Lords Supper included not only the bread and cup but an entire meal. As part of the meal, neighbors who had quarreled made peace again. Early Christians continued to observe the Jewish Passover. But they did not celebrate the Passover in memory of deliverance from Egypt. Instead, they fasted to remember the sufferings of Jesus, the true Passover Lamb.
